In the early Summer of 2019, I was invited to not only attend this conference hosted by Operation Carbon Drawdown, but be the opening speaker for the prestigious event in Aspen, CO. It was both an honor to be able to address these climate investors, and an opportunity that provided me a professional public speaking coach, who was able to instill in me confidence in my ability to take a stage that has stuck with me to this day. Even cooler was that I got to invite BOTH my friends band, and one of the core Earth Guardians members band to come play during the weekend of activities. At this time, the idea of merging music with climate activism was just beginning to take shape in my mind.
