One of the first projects I did after moving to Colorado was help organize a rally in support of an asylum seeking family. It was a small start considering my last rally had thousands in attendance, but we were honored that day to be joined by then Mayor Suzanne Jones, as well as Congressman Joe Neguse. This was one of my first times of many working with vulnerable communities, as well as working with Neguse which sparked a friendship that would carry throughout my years to come.
